I have 28 years of professional nursing experience. I am a former Assistant Professor/Simulation Learning Center Coordinator, and a clinical instructor of Western Kentucky University (WKU) and Lindsey Wilson College (LWC).

Initially, I was a CNA instructor at a private facility for about 4-years. Currently, I am the owner and founder of The Remote Nurse CEU (An accredited Kentucky Board of Nursing CE provider #7-00094). I also write professional development courses and test bank questions.

My background as an educator includes NCLEX/NG, Fundamentals of Nursing, Adult Health I&II, some OB, and Pediatrics simulation learning experience in all areas of nursing in a 4-year RN BSN program. (Scenarios range from basic concepts to critical scenarios). I also completed remediation for all courses, subject areas, pharmacology, and HESI exams.

Professionally, I began as a CNA and slowly climbed my way up the professional lattice. I took a scenic tour (CNA, CMT, LPN, RN AD, BSN, and finally the MSN with a focus on nursing education). My clinical experience comes from travel nursing, acute bedside, skilled nursing, administrative, and remote nursing. I have worked in the areas of geriatrics, cardiac telemetry (CTU), critical care, (CCU), transitional care (TCU), skilled nursing, and mental health both youth and adults, as well as a brief period in the emergency department (ED).
